Well to be honest I have never ever eaten avocado yet but when I saw how you can grow your own avocado tree from seed in many blogs lately I've decided to give it a try. Primarly not to eat it but because I believe it will be fascinating to observe the growth... if something will actually happen. And the seed is so beautiful isn't it? 

Do you like avocado and how do you like to prepare it? (I am asking because there is seedless avocado waiting for me in the fridge.) :)

Things are moving forward with our house renovation... currently the focus is on water and central  heating installations.  Every change I see in the house, every process makes me happy although I can't help myself not to dream about skipping all of them and move in already. :) I know I am impatient but I am trying really hard not to be...

These last few weeks were really busy so it's a bit strange to switch to the slow pace but I am sure I will manage... :) It's time for cherries, relaxation and new Regina Spektor's music. She is one of my favorite musicians and I will listen her new album for the first time today so you can imagine my excitement. 

I still have tons of work to do though... but that can wait for now... :)

ps: I received beautiful Helsinki postcard from my dear friend Gosia. She's from Poland but we met in this beautiful city almost 9 years ago and she is spending some time there right now. How I wish I could be there with her...

Even if I don't have enough time for creating lately, I am playing and trying out several different techniques. Some of them are completely new to me like for instance screen-printing which I've been learning in a worksop these last few weeks (now I need to practice a lot). I've been creating tiny figurines out of clay (I will show them to you soon I hope) and I even painted one cup with porcelain paint marker brushes. I've been looking for this kind of markers for a long time and was thrilled when I finally found them in the local art supplies store. Here you can see my first cup which I named Hinko Smrekar. Not that it has any connection to the actual Slovenian artist who had that name. :)

Film photos of first days of May which I spent with my friends. We had a wonderful picnic hosted by my dear friend Irena. I think I don't need to mention that she was the perfect host... and I didn't even photographed all the delicious treats she prepared.

I spent the morning in my studio. Ram surprised me with a new drawer for my birthday so I was shifting things from old one to another separating materials from works, putting loads of sketchbooks together and so on. While doing this I even found some pieces which I completely forgot of ever making. I was also a bit surprised when I saw my old works that I used to like but dislike now and the other way around.

Four little moments from today... different feelings, different colors... and one big pleasant tiredness in the end of everything. And Nina's ATN Zine mix goes quite well with it I think...

Here are some snapshots from past few days... I found Iva's Andy while I was cleaning the apartment and it made me laugh as much as it did when I first saw it years ago.

These last few holiday's days were full of interesting conversations, laughter, joyful gatherings, picnics and delicious food and new month couldn't start in a better way. I will post more photos in future days but now I just wanted to say hello to my favorite month - May... may it be wonderful! :)
