...brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things...

Two packages were waiting for me in my mailbox today! One from Elisabeth and one from Alessandra. What a wonderful way to start a week! I will show you the treasures soon!

rainy day

I found this photo again on my computer and I think it's perfect for today since is rainy and foggy outside.

I am in love with this song!*

The creative team of Festival Miden and Sea Level from Greece invited me to participate in their project called "Dreaming of my city" (an open social web action for art and culture in urban environment)
with my "Dream cities" . You can see my contribution here.

thank You

You know that saying from Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (btw; one of my favorite movies) "Times are hard for dreamers", right? Well as a dreamer I can say that they can be but if you are as lucky as I am and get to know as sweet and loving people as I do you can learn every day that magic is real and that there are still many of those who believe in it and appreciate little things in life. I am really grateful for all your sweet comments and nice thoughts, ideas and small surprises. Thank you, you know who you are!

I wish you all nice weekend and days filled with magic!

I will illustrate one song for children magazine and I am trying things out. I would love to do it this manner; in black&white&soft blue but I think that they want full colors. Hm...

a fresh view on old things

Seeing Elisabeth's Rebuild square print yesterday made me think about embroideries, weaving and crafts and when I mentioned it to my mother who used to crochet and knit a lot, she showed me an interesting book of Slovene National Embroideries and I wanted to show you some beautiful patterns from it. So funny that I never seen this book before although my mother bought it in her student days. Thank you Elisabeth for reminding me of beautiful but overlooked things around me! :)

simple

...let's keep it that way. Simple.

I'm in love with Elisabeth's new Rebuild square print.
Wonderful small collection of art curated and installed by Maria Alexandra Vetesse - Come darkness.
Lovely Abby try again.

little red wish

I wish I'll have the wooden one someday but this little Dala horses related collection will have to do for now. :) I bought red baking tins in Ikea and got cookie models as a gift from my dear friend Saša who studied in Sweden last year. Winter seems a perfect time to bake more and I am really looking forward of yummy things in this lovely shape.

Today's movie: 500 days of Summer.
