Nice sticker (Follow your mountain) from a dear friend Miha Ha who has an exhibition opening tonight. Check it out if you are near I bet you won't be sorry.

On my windowsill: new issue of Kinfolk magazine (I am so excited that it's focused on Japan and I am also happy to see that includes an article about Fog Linen) and our rock collection. Both inspiring and beautiful.

Remember this package? It was a gift from Sandra (amazing and super-talented lady) - the heart and soul of beautiful Herzensart world. She sent us the viking before our boy was born and today was time to battle. Well, not really... maybe just a battle of cuteness. :) So meet "Runolf Redbeard" and "Veno the Bear". The meeting was nice and they decided to be friends forever.

I've been banging my head for years because I didn't buy this book years ago when I was in college. When I finally decided to buy it I realized they were all sold out and nowhere to be found... imagine my surprise and excitement when I saw that they reprinted it again this year. And it is truly as they say "Scandtastic"! :) It arrived today and cheered me up after some bad news we received about our already delivered and payed bathroom tiles... as it seems they are not the ones we picked (and apparently they don't exist besides the samples from which we chosen them months ago) and we have to choose different ones all over again...

It was my birthday yesterday and if it wasn't for my friends and their wonderful surprises I would totally forgot about it. This year celebrating just wasn't the first priority I guess. So thank you my dear friends, you rock!***

Nice small things... Blueberry muffin for a snack (not homemade unfortunately), Ram's (unplanned) striped  socks collection, evidence of my mum's visit which made me really happy since it's so boring being ill and not be able to meet anyone (I asked her again if she could teach me how to crochet since I never practice and then I forget), the smallest and the cutest illustration made by Miha Ha, part of my beloved collection of Paumes books,... and the wonderful fact that I can finally partially breathe through my nose after almost two weeks! :)

I am spending my week in bed because of a bad cold and it doesn't seem that it will go away so soon. I try to rest as much as possible and try to kill time with movies, books, cups of hot tea and so on... right now I am admiring Claire Loder's wonderful book which arrived today. I admire her work so much, she is an amazing artist and I hope I will be able to afford one of her sculptures someday. :)

Ps: Daffodils bloomed from previous post... they are not my favorite flowers at all but they make a nice contrast with outside snowy weather.

Spring in a pot and lovely surprises from friends. Things that help me find beauty during these stressful and busy days.
Thank you Erika for the lovely handmade "tiny carpet" and Irena for sending me a dose of your wonderful handwriting. The text I once asked her to write down for me is something I saw framed  in our friend's family kitchen  (I think I saw it here for the first time though) and it goes like this: "In this house: we are real, we make mistakes, we say I'm sorry, we give second chances, we have fun, we give hugs, we forgive, we do really loud, we are family, we love.". Definitely a home which we are trying to create.

In the beginning of December I won on Paula's lovely giveaway and received her pretty ornaments yesterday (thank you!). They are all as delicate, beautiful, unique and special as this little white dove. May your 2013 be just such, full of hope and everything good.***
See you next year! :)

I can't wait this week to end... I am looking forward to Christmas holidays, spending time with family and friends and doing all the nice things that this busy month deprive me of. I hope there is something nice that you are looking forward to as well.*

ps: On the second photo is lovely package with Knots collective flyers (a pop-up shop which I was a small part of) from Alessandra.

Nina was the one who suggested I should do something for the LABL's Me, Myself and I zine and she was the one who sent it to me because I couldn't join the Caffeine hours festival/fair. And I also received a bonus - two amazing zines made by her. Yes, I am lucky I know. :) Thank you Nina and also guys from LABL! My small contribution is the black and white self-portait (photos 3,4,5 on the left) but if you want to see more or buy it check it out here

Who is still sleeping in our bed at this late hour? It's Sivka or Lady Lavender who knows how to ignore continuous heat. The name for this super cute wonderful handmade kitten popped up as soon as I opened a big package from Valentina's Studio13. Thank you so much for the gift!*

These last few weeks were really busy so it's a bit strange to switch to the slow pace but I am sure I will manage... :) It's time for cherries, relaxation and new Regina Spektor's music. She is one of my favorite musicians and I will listen her new album for the first time today so you can imagine my excitement.
I still have tons of work to do though... but that can wait for now... :)

ps: I received beautiful Helsinki postcard from my dear friend Gosia. She's from Poland but we met in this beautiful city almost 9 years ago and she is spending some time there right now. How I wish I could be there with her...
